Despite the tumor-shrinking medical miracle that has bought her a few years, Hazel has never been anything but terminal, her final chapter inscribed upon diagnosis. But when a gorgeous plot twist named Augustus Waters suddenly appears at Cancer Kid Support Group, Hazel’s story is about to be completely rewritten.

Insightful, bold, irreverent, and raw, The Fault in Our Stars brilliantly explores the funny, thrilling, and tragic business of being alive and in love.

When it ended, I did not want to believe it was gone. I had so much fun reading this. Usually I do not even like to read, but this made me enjoy it and in no way it felt like a burden. I chose to read instead of doing other things.

i didn’t think anything could top his novel Paper Towns, which was my all time favorite book, until i read this book all in one sitting. i went into this book expecting greatness of course, because it is a John Green novel and the reviews are great, but im still in utter shock. the emotions i felt for Hazel and Gus are insane, like i could feel their love and sorrow, like it was r e a l. amazing, my new favorite book.

This book is amazing, from the poetry talk to the teenagey ‘love’ talk. It shows what we should all be greatful for, and that we could always have worse days. This is a story of never giving up hope, love, family, friends, and most of all fighting for your life. ❤️

If you like romance stories, you have to read this story, but even if you don’t you should still read it. This is an amazing book, and it never felt boring, with a good balance of humor and sadness. Please, please read.

  • Brilliantly an Anomaly

I say anomaly with absolutely no negative connotation. When I first read the book I was in the seventh grade. Still forming my highly influenced vague thoughts that would truly have no meaning to the world. As a I read it for the second time as a freshman in high school, realizing that my thoughts would in up in the oblivion of the world, I noted how difficult it was to lose your first love. Even with them still taking their place in the world. I thanked whatever “Something” might be up above for the fact they though I may not enjoy their presence that they still have it. The fictional life of Augustus Waters led me to be thankful for what I never imagined I would be, and I’d like to thank him for that. Hazel Grace was an anomaly in her short lived life of ink on paper and I am grateful for her. Leaving a book mark on every quote that I felt may assist me one day could never be enough to thank her. I will soon watch the movie, awe over it’s greatness, and despise every difference that it takes on from the novel. I can only dream that I might one day be anywhere near the anomaly that Hazel Grace was as “The Fault in Our Stars” becomes my “An Imperial Affliction.”
